Every year in the fall - millions of migrating birds fly along the "Pacific Flyway", which runs along the California west coast.
It is a major north-south route of travel for migratory birds in America, extending from Alaska to Patagonia -
a great "Avian Highway".

Endless acres of flooded rice fields in Yuba county, host thousands of Canada Goose, Tundra Swans and Trumpet Swans, Pintail, Wood and Mallard Ducks, and some other of over 300 birds species migrating to California .
They fly thousands miles to come
here in late November - and stay with us until late January - mid February.
Photos below show rice fields along Hwy 20 north from Marysville.

This is my humble TRIBUTE to those Beautiful, Brave Creatures.
