WHO IS HIDING THERE?

 
CONE-HEADED KATYDIDS OCCUR IN GREEN & BROWN COLORS:  -
Photographing insects is complicated, but katydids are the hardest. Most of the time they "play" their music at night.
I follow their VERY LOUD sound, slowly walking with a flashlight in one hand and in the other hand my camera on macro setting "ready-to-shoot".
When I come to the spot where the sound is the loudest - I turn the light on and try to locate the insect.
It is not easy - for they are scare of the light and immediately go silent when light goes on.
If I spot one - I hold the light on it - and with my other hand, looking at the LCD screen, I focus my camera on it, finger on the shutter -
and CLICK! Got it !! ... or not ..... when katydid disappeared inside a grass jungle…
Very often I sure would use one more hand!
