Red-Shouldered Hawks in Browns Valley - they are "Red-Shouldered ELEGANS" type.
There is a beautiful piece of land in Browns Valley, where huge, old oak trees grow along the Little Dry Creek.
This place is still pretty "wild", in the middle of rural area of Sierra Nevada Foothills.

Over many years there I could hear distant hawks calling around those old oaks - but finally, during Memorial Day Weekend of 2010,
I was really lucky to spot Hawks Nest.

FEBRUARY 2011 - A Great Surprise! I noticed a big hawk on the tall larch right on my street, close to my house in SF Bay Area:

Few days later - back to my oaks in Browns Valley:

GOOD NIGHT, Dear Hawks ...
